"Songs of Christmas" Sermon Series - Zacharias was a righteous man. Along with his wife, Elizabeth, he walked in the commands of the Lord and was blameless. He faithfully served as a priest before God in the temple. Little did he know, that before the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, an angel of the Lord came and spoke to Zacharias about how his wife would give birth to John the Baptist. But because of his unbelief, he was unable to talk until the birth of his son. When John was born, Zacharias began to sing and prophesy of how God's greatness would be displayed through John's ministry in preceding the Son God, Jesus, the Messiah.
